A case of carotid body paraganglioma in toe left cervical region of 33-year-old woman is reported with review of the literatures. Clinically, she complained of a palpable neck mass and otherwise is within normal limits. Crossly, child fist sifted sass located around the bifurcation of the common carotid artery and become closely adherent to it. Microscopic appearance shows well defined nests of cuboidal cells which separated by fibrous septa and sinusoids. The individual cells have a abundant cytoplasm and vesicular nucleus. Reticulin stein reveals that nests of tumor cells are encircled by reticulin fibers.
