Abstract PDF: Sclerosing sweat duct carcinoma is unusual and locally aggressive neoplasm that is important to recognize since it may be confused with other benign adnexal neoplasms, particularly syringoma. Authors present a case of sclerosing sweat duct carcinoma in a 21 yearold man. The lesion was a round fresh-colored hard plaque, 1 cm in size, near the right inner eyebrow. The lesion was not fixed. Regional lymph nodes wer not palpated. Histologically, the tumor was composed of small basaloid cell nests and numerous horn cysts in the sclerotic stroma. Some of the small nests showed ductular differentation. The tumor infilturated the dermis, adjacent to the subcutaneous fat tissue and invaded a nerve fiber. Cytologic atypism of the tumor cells was not present. The tumor cell nest is positively stained with carcinoembryonic antigen.
