Cryptococcosis, although which is rare in our country, is a cosmopolitan infectious disease which begins as a primary infection of the lung and which may be localized or may be disseminated hematogenously to any parts of the body but especially to the brain, meninges and cords. The author report 5 cases of cryptococcal meningitis confirmed by India-ink preparation and/or cultures of cerebrospinal fluid. Also the literatures are reviewed.
